"My name is Lisa and I recently joined the Paws and Pause team – Meeting Jodie, Grace and all the wonderful doggies has been the best introduction to animal care I could wish for! I am training to be a Veterinary Care Assistant and lock down restrictions have made it so incredibly hard to have any hands-on experience. That’s why I’m so grateful to the P+P crew for helping me kick-start my journey- even in these difficult and wobbly times!" Lisa D.

When it comes to healthy dog treats there are many you can find on the market. But most can be very short lived, and once analysed, can actually contain additives and preservatives (fats and salt) that are far from ‘healthy’ for our dogs. At Paws and Pause we use Yak Milk Chews to keep our pups happy.

These stick chews are made purely from organic yak milk cheese and a squeeze of lime, and are free from fats, lactose and gluten – and are an amazing protein source for our growing doggy crew. One particular brand we love are Everest Chews based in Camden’s Buck St. Market. Everest Chews work cooperatively with farmers in the Himalayas using only traditional methods of production and natural ingredients local to the region to create these wicked tasty treats. We love to think that by investing in these chews we are not only supporting healthy teeth, gums and tums for our precious pooches – but we can also help communities reach their goal for sustainability and security. What’s even cooler – their packaging is 100% recyclable – so we are doing our bit for the planet too!!

we now have these in stock - email us for more info

Benefits of Coconut Oil:

Coconut oil is great for a shiny coat, can improve skin condition and help aid digestion. Benefits of Oats: Used raw or cooked, oats are an excellent source of soluble fibre, which is great for reducing the risk of diabetes. Oats are also a great alternative for those who can't eat wheat.

(Use raw oats sparingly as over use can lead to diarrhoea and loose stools)

Benefits of Peanut Butter: Peanut butter is packed full of protein, it also contains heart healthy fats, Vitamin B, Niacin and Vit.E – a great all rounder and a dog baking must!!
