Tailored Care for Your One-Of-A-Kind Pup
Every dog arrives with their own personality, and preferences. Our team understands indivituality, so before your pup joins, we’ll have a proper phone call to get to know their quirks, sensitivities, favourite things and anything they need to feel safe and confident. Their journey starts with a carefully planned trial, where we gently introduce them to the pack they’ll see every week.

From there, every dog has their own "SUSS plan"—our ‘setting up for success’ approach that supports them to grow at the right pace. Think of it as your dog’s personal development playlist: some days call for confidence-building tracks, others a chill out album.

Not every dog is ready for daycare straight away, and that's OK! If your dog needs a little more time before diving into the full routine, we’ll take things steadily and shape an introduction that feels right for them.

Life in London isn’t 9–5, and your dog daycare shouldn’t be either. Our standard hours run from 8:00AM to 6:30PM, with Saturdays (10AM – 6PM) for when weekends get booked up. And at both sites we go further:

We reward commitment, the more regularly you attend, the better value you get. With regular packages from £44–£59.50/day, your dog spends over ten full hours on site, receiving high-quality care and enrichment. Ad-hoc days are there when life gets unpredictable, and unlimited care is available for £170/week.
The more days booked, the more perks unlocked; free Breakfast Club and After School Club, free Saturdays and even a pet first aid course. When plans change, flexible booking means you can swap days or add sessions with ease, with existing pack members always prioritised.

Paws & Pause started in 2019 when Grace and Jodie, working together in homelessness services, saw a gap no one else was filling. People in recovery needed sustainable routes back into work. Dogs have proven therapeutic power. As lifelong dog lovers who’d seen firsthand how animals can shift isolation into connection, and instability into confidence, they built a model where dogs help people rebuild their lives simply by being themselves. This isn’t CSR or charity on the side — it’s the beating hear of everything we do, from our 1:5 ratio to our extended hours, and stems from the belief that business can solve real problems.
Born From Frontline Experience, Built on Belief
We’re London’s only social enterprise dog daycare, and the way it works is simple. Alongside our trained team, people rebuilding their lives after mental health challenges or substance use difficulties join us as trainees. Referred through NHS teams, GP’s rehab teams and other recovery partners, they take part in a six-month programme that blends hands-on experience, mentoring and the unique grounding that comes from spending time with dogs. No pressure, no stigma — just routine, purpose and a chance to move forward. All our trainees report reduced anxiety, increased confidence and renewed motivation. 85% go on to employment, university or further training. Every one of those steps is made possible because your dog comes to daycare. It’s not charity — it’s a pathway to independence, powered by everyday joy.
