Self Funded and Sponsored Placements
Our Social Impact Programme exists to support people rebuilding confidence, routine and purpose.
Many of our placements are funded through grants and donations. But as funding becomes more uncertain, we are now offering the option for individuals or families who are able to contribute towards the cost of a placement. This helps us protect funded spaces — and continue growing the programme sustainably.

Who This Is For
This option may be right for:
-
Individuals who feel ready for a structured next step
-
Families supporting someone in recovery
-
People leaving treatment who want continued purpose
-
Supporters who want to invest directly in someone’s progress
Some people have access to family support. Some don’t. By offering a self-funded option, we can make sure both pathways exist, without reducing access for those who need financial support.

Our Commitment
Financial contribution does not change the experience.
Every trainee receives:
-
The same support
-
The same expectations
-
The same care
-
The same opportunity
We will always protect access for those without financial backing. This option simply allows those who can contribute to help strengthen the whole model.

Why We're Introducing This
We’ve always been open about how Paws & Pause works. We are a social enterprise. We pay the London Living Wage. We share profits with our team. We run a trainee programme alongside daycare. Funding for grassroots impact work is increasingly competitive and unpredictable. Introducing sponsored placements allows us to:
-
Keep the programme stable
-
Reduce waiting lists
-
Protect funded spaces
-
Continue paying and supporting our team properly

Next Steps
If you’re considering a placement, either for yourself or someone you support, we’d love to have a conversation. We can talk through:
-
Suitability
-
Structure
-
Timing
-
Costs
-
Flexible payment options
